Special weapons, liutenant and comissar

As promised, here you have them.
Fusion Rifle:
Made from a standard steel legion model, and a space marine meltacannon from a land speeder.

Flammer. The same; standard model, with a plastic cadian flammer. I cutted off the barrel of the gun and replace it. The backpack needs some sujection detailing. I'm pretty satisfied with the result, it's easy and effective.
Liutenant, from an old valhallan model. Ouch sorry, the photo is horrible :(

And the company comissar. This model was painted loooong ago:

He's a rude guy :P

And here you have a test of a standard bearer (the model on the left has been used as a guide): With some work It'll look better (I hope :P)

Lambda Company; First Squad detail and whole company

It's been a while since my last entry, but not because lack of work in my guard, just lack of camera (pfff!!).

During the summer I have been working in the first company of my army; the firebase of it. I think I'll call it Lambda company, but I'm not sure about which designation must have the companies of my army. Numerals, greek characters, roman names...? a poll will be posted I think...

This is a detail of first company, one of it's squads.

The Sarge

With one of the heavy weapons of the company. I usually use heavy bolters in infantry squads. Missile launchers are more effective in groups, and lasscannons must be apart from infantry (if you use a lasscannon in a infantry squad, in each turn you could use the cannon, or the guardsmen, but never you'll be able to use both in a turn):
And the heavy bolter, sandbag version (some work remaining on sandbags):

And here you have it, the first company at full, just remaining some work in some guardsmen, a lasscannon and a heavy bolter. When finished, they will be about 65 men. Here you have about 50. 3 grenade launchers, 3 lasscannons, 3 missile launchers, 3 heavy bolters, 3-5 plasma rifles, 1 meltagun, 3 comms operators, 1 commisar, 1 liutenant, 1 flammethower, and maybe something else. Enjoy!

Missile launcher squad. Here you have 3 versions of the launchers. Finally, I chose the first from the right, the grey detailed version. I think it is the coolest, but hope to hear opinions:

A detail of the mentioned version (note that the mounted missile is High Explosive type, which have red labels, and the model in the hands of the assistant is the Krak type, with yellow labels):
The 3 sarges of the company:
Some of the models are from my old army. They are easy to recognize. They look bright and have no decoration on the base. Anyone knows how I can remove the bright from them?maybe another barnish layer with aero or something?

On these men, only remains some basework, and a sepia inkwash.

What do you think about bases? I have future plans to build a gamingtable of a desert ruined city, but it's a far objective. Do you think that they look ok or maybe needs some ruins or something else?

Next, the company command.

Ground crew/engineers heads

With some of the left over cadian heads that I have, I've done some work with milliput standard grey, for practice and, why not, future uses.

Basically there are some with goggles (more vets maybe) and some with a extrange left eye visor. This visors are oversized, lesson learned for the next time. Anyway I can remove the putty, but not now.

Hope to finish the Hellhound tomorrow (the oils are now drying).

Flak Quad Gun

Some time ago I found this model in my old local hobby shop (actually closed), and bought it. Is pretty modeled and is made from high quality resin.

It will be, obviously, a Hydra for my army. When I saw the Hydra rules in the new codex, I fall in love permanently o_O impressive skills!!!!

Probably, this model will be used as a emplacement, just because some time ago I was planning to build a hydra from scratch because the GW/FW model doesn't fit very well in my army concept, and I can't understand the use the crew will do of the cargo area if it can't carry anything >:(
